Newness for 2012

Welcome to 2012 and it is time for newness. I am excited about taking Love to Style You to another level.
This year is a time for growth, and I’m looking foward to the updates of this page, and many other exciting new things.
I will continue to focus on volunteerism in the area of personal image for those men and women in the need to learn how to dress for success.
What’s next on the herizon for me? Greatness indeed.

Spring is Here!!!

Looking outside would you believe that today is the second day of Spring!!!
Rain, cold and threat of snow, winter seems to be putting up a fight.. Lol

Spring is here everyone, so its time to pullout the transitional clothing for days like this. Of course its all about layering appropriately, its great weather for boots, oxfords and spring accessories.

Men and women need good spring accessories to elevate their daily look:

For the men its all about the drivers cap, great lightweight scarves and leather gloves… Its a great look, well rounded from head to toe. All of the 3 items work wonderful with trenchcoats, leather jkts and lightweight wool coats. Polished it the best way to describe it.

For the ladies hats are great with a trench or poncho! Personally I love bracelet length gloves for us, especially with my poncho’s. Gives you a little bit of warmth as we deal with the change in weather.

We can not forget the scarves, this is when we can insert a pop of color, embellishment and other little details of the spring scarf collections.

Accessories can make or break an outfit, with Spring the selection for men and women are phenomenal!!! Hope you take the time to look around for these treasures.

Accessory Heaven!!!! *clutching my pearls*

So we all like a good bargain!!! Fashionista’s know the art of mixing hi and low when dressing.

As I’m running errands I stumbled upon a store the size of Walgreens filled with nothing but accessories!!! I mean wall to wall accessories!!!

Everything a women needs is in this one building and the prices are really nice.

The name of the store is called ” XSRE ” in Long Island, http://www.xsre.com. The have a location in the Palisades Mall (West Nyack, NY) , 5 Towns ( Lawrence,NY) and coming soon to New Jersey.

Check out the store when you can, I’ve been roaming around in here for the last 30 mins ….lol

Savoir-Faire

Savoir-faire ( ) n. The ability to say or do the right or graceful thing.

We are in the peak time of Holiday, so that means family gatherings, holiday events and all those other fun things .

So do you have savoir-faire when it comes to holiday dressing?

Meaning when we pick out those lovely outfits for the up and coming events , it should be a smooth transition.

It should not be a hard process, so mistletoe earrings with a crimson red dress is not the way to go Ladies …

Its a LBD (little black dress) paired with a statement necklace topped off with a great pair of sheer thigh high stockings with a seam up the back … Like old Hollywood…

Its a beautiful blk velvet tuxedo pant suit complimented with a silk Camille in a deeper jewel tone.

As you can see black is the theme.. Lol

Gentlemen the tie that lights up and flashes “Happy Holidays” is not going to work either…lol

The velvet vest with a beautiful haberdashery woven with coordinating cuff links is a classic look that never goes out of style.

A shawl collar Sweater paired with a Turtleneck, worn with a herringbone or tweed slack is very debonair.

The staple in a mans closet for holiday dressing is always a Velvet Blazer, pocket square in a jewel tone and a classic white tuxedo shirt (no tie needed).

Gracefully done and seamless is the key, when dressing for the holidays….

The pieces you purchase for the upand coming events should have many uses , after that specific event. Its all about wardrobing …..
